So where do you hope they will play? Me I am hoping for either Cow Palace or Oakland. But def not an amphitheater tour and for the love of god please stay away from the San Jose arena the acoustics in that building blow.

Also is anyone planning a meet up before the gig?

Aren't they playing in SF?

During the PTA tour, I saw them in the HP Pavilion in SJ...they were awesome there, I must say. The sound wasn't bad at all.
And when I squinted
The world seemed rose-tinted

Personally, I think they'll play Shoreline.. They could play Oracle in Oakland, but they have a long history of playing Shoreline, so I tend to think that's where they'll play. I don't think it's the HP Pavillion in SJ- I think it would have been listed as and SJ date if that was the case..

Don't think they'll play the Cow Palace.. Dang, has only played there lately?
see the stars they're shining bright, everything's alright tonight

Ah. I saw Depeche Mode at the Shoreline and San Jose.
I liked the San Jose sound better, but the Shoreline atmosphere was better.
Hmm. Who knows what place they're playing?

they seem to always refer to mountain view as san francisco so i'd put my money on the shoreline. hate the 'free' parking there... hate it!

Im curious where they will be playing as well.

Martin, I love your avatar. GO SHARKS! I've seen them at the shoreline, SJ Arena and the Concord Pavillion. My personal choice would be the Concord Pavillion since I live about 10 minutes from the joint! The sound is good too.

I'd be up for a pre-concert/album debut party! I would host, but does anyone want to travel to Concord. If it's warm I can make it a pool party!.......Maybe in May.....anyone up for it?

This is my first batch of Depeche Mode concerts since moving out from the East Coast. I've heard that Shoreline's sound isn't so great.

Either way I'll be there. But get to Shoreline EARLY! We got stuck in traffic last July and missed Elvis Costello when he opened for the Police.

Shoreline is where I saw DM for the first time and it was incredible to be there...
Will be interesting to see which venue they choose this time around. I've been
a member since 1984 - and proud of it *

I also saw dM for the first time at the Shoreline in 1990. That being said, I am somewhat bummed that they are playing Shoreline because it is an absolute pain to get to and from there as well as not having any good meet up spots nearby. Although, they ARE touring so I can't stay bummed for long.
