ASIAN? lol Or should i say ROFL

Isn't he born in Basildon thus making him an England guy and that's all? Or maybe you question his family origins? (wich i don't know *hit about)

Gahan

  • reduced form of McGahan, an Anglicized form of Gaelic Mac Eacháin, ‘son of Eachán’.
  • in Leinster, a reduced Anglicized form of Gaelic Ó Gaoithin ‘descendant of Gaoithín’, a personal name from a diminutive of gaoth, an adjective meaning ‘wise’ (probably the sense here) or a noun meaning ‘wind’; hence in Connacht the name is sometimes ‘translated’ as Wynne or Wyndham. Occasionally it may be an Anglicized form of Mac Gaoithín ‘son of Gaoithín’, although this is more commonly found as McGeehan, an Ulster name.
It seems to me he is acutally from an irish back ground. But i swear he looks meddtainan (sic)

His natural father was apparently of Malaysian descent. That's been quoted in lots of places.

"Gahan" was his step father's surname, was it not?

Now were getting some where. Ive read many depeche interviews as well as biographys and havent read anything bout dave's dad. Although i think Gahan sounds like a asian name, it is actually irish.
