Interesting that they cite Paradise Lost as an influence because Anders and Jonas are in Bloodbath along with Nick from PL, Martin from Opeth, and Per who used to play guitar in Katatonia. Also the first time I saw Katatonia it was as support for Paradise Lost, which was just bloody amazing.

Thanks to a decent specialist radio show, I discovered that my home town has - or at least, had - a decent musician: Rob Fisher.

He had two hits in 1984 as a duo with Peter Byrne, called Naked Eyes, including this monster:

before forming Climie Fisher a few years later.

I guess Katatonia strength is songs where u can Mosh, also the use of keyboards and different instruments.Lyrics, well,im not gothic but I apreciate the doomy atmosphere from this band.they are a treasure.cant wait to hear them.

I found this very nice interview with Anders from katatonia, minute 12.40 he says what the band is about, more melodic, atmospheric and dark

For me Depeche are tied with Chris Cornell. The way I explain it to people is Depeche Mode are my favourite band of all time, whereas Chris Cornell is my favourite artist of all time. :D That way, I don't have to pick because it's an impossible task for me. Having said that, I do listen to Depeche Mode every day, where I listen to Chris less frequently than I did when I was growing up.

Euphoria Morning is an absolute classic album.

Same as usual.
Besides still enjoying Kasabian, I am also listening to The Maccabees occasionally.(I kind of soured of them a bit between August and September, shortly after their break-up announcement)
Other than that, I've been heavily into Bastille. I really like their second album.
I've listened to The 1975 frequently as well...even though I have some issues with their frontman and their mostly hellish fanbase.
Also liked Foxes' second album, All I Need. Might get into her first LP soon. Hope I won't be too lazy to do it.
