It's that time of year when no ovens or stoves are needed for cooking. If someone wants to fry an egg, all they need to do is put a cast iron skillet on the sidewalk, spray it with some cooking spray and crack the egg and let it fry under the sun. (110's and up--that is the SHADE temperature, not what it is under the sun)
Or you can do like we did in elementary school. Get one of those styrofoam water coolers and line it with aluminum foil. Then put your meat and veggies on a skewer and stick it out in the sun. And in 20 minutes, it's cooked! No gas needed. No electric needed. Just aluminum foil, a skewer, an empty styrofoam cooler and the sun!
