TENEK - 'If I Should Fall' (Cramp remix)

Postby EmpressTouch » Thu Sep 25, 2014 8:48 pm

I heard this remix on Rusty Egan's Mi-Soul.com radio show last week. Loved this version by Cramp .

Tenek are a band I had never heard of before:

I kind of dig this sound..
I hear Echos of the 80's, Don Henley, The Cars etc.
Thanks for the link :)

Not a big fan of synthpop with female vocals, but I have to admit this's pretty good stuff :)

I agree. They got Steve Lyon working with them so I have high hopes for their new album.

Thanks for all the suggestions, they are much needed as there is a lot of garbage out there in the mainstream at the moment.

For what its worth ive been checking out lastest album from Caribou. Its quite good, but even better is his 2010 effort 'swim' which I discovered recently. Check it out

For a little trip down memory lane, Underworld has re-released a copy of their 1994 album "Dubnobasswithmyheadman"

http://www.underworldlive.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/dubnobass_digital_standard_02_vinyl.jpg

Its an album which departed from the band's previous style (as Freur and the First Underworld) where the band started out as a funk rock band (with mixed results)
From the point when the band released this album (the "band" had 2 of the original members from the 80s incarnations) explored all kinds of sounds, pushing it about as far as the Intelligent Dance Genre would go

Although, a lot of the credit into this successful foray into the rave/ idm genre came from the fact the band recruited Darren Emerson

"It's Getting Boring By The Sea" by 'Blood Red Shoes'. It's not exactly new, (single released in 2007), it's refreshing. One of those songs that's not so catchy you tire of it after several listens, but rather grows on you, and it's refreshing!
On a note full of hope, not despair...
