I finally got round to buying "#SteroidsorHeroin",the debut album by Future User - a band led by Tim Commerford, the bassist in Rage Against the Machine. It's AMAZING. Kind of progressive electronic rock, lots of fast, driving, bass-led rhythms and some heavy lyrical content (but it's nothing like RATM).

There's a few vids on YouTube - try "Mountain Lion" for starters, it blew me away.

Severed Heads - Dead Eyes Opened

^ An obscure Australian band from the 80s/90s which made this astounding song

That synth riff, that synth riff!

Severed Heads are the greatest and most influential Australian electronic band ever and I was lucky enough to see them live together with Boxcar and Single Gun Theory on the Synthpop tour on my birthday in 1991 I think. Dead Eyes Open is a legendary track, but you should immerse yourself in the Retread lp if nothing else. It contains the classic track All Saints Day and Australias first ever House song, the bejond brilliant remix of Greater Reward. Severed Heads had substantial hits in the US club scene, where they were bigger and probably more well known than in their home country. Tom Ellard was the brains behind the name, together with his Audio Visual Installation artist, who also made his videos.
Robert Racics ( R.I.P ) production was also brill. :)

Vivien Glass.

This London trio have a new album out.

I can't believe no-one using this thread has spotted them, their productions are very easy on the ear - and they've been given a brilliant remix by a producer called HEXA. I need a remix from them and, all being well, will buy one next year. Have a listen for yourself for now:

I have really enjoyed 'MG' by our esteemed Martin Gore. It's great for when I want to relax, do chores, or out and about. I've found that it's like my own personal 'life soundtrack'.
