I've been a fan since 1982, I turned 14 that summer! How the years fly by! It is nice to see there are some "seasoned" (I much prefer that word!) fans here on the board. I was beginning to wonder if everyone here was closer to my daughters age (she's 16 and also loves DM) than mine!

1982, I was 8 years old. I still have my Speak & Spell (original) vinyl.
Do I have to sell my soul for pleasure like this?

Have been a fan since 1982 when i saw them in a small hall in Hanley, Stoke on Trent during the see you tour. I was right next to the stage and touched Dave's shoe when he was singing. I went home and told my mum i was never washing my hand again!!!
Can't believe that was 24 years ago. Here's to the next 24!!!!!

Since the late 80's -- it all began with an Alternative Music Station in San Francisco, CA, and heard "People Are People"...been hooked ever since. Saw DM at San Jose's Amphithreatre and they were encored three times! Never will forget it.
