After laughing my ass off... LOL

This is what I thought about his performance. First of all, I commend him for having the courage to perform. Secondly, he sounds God awful in ANY language in ANY country. Just bad, bad, tone & off key. Third, he should've taken the time to learn the lyrics. Please don't disgrace a Depeche Mode song (I don't care who you are--average Joe or a known musician/artist) unless you can "execute" the song with precision. Of course, having a lovely singing voice helps. His voice wasn't even fit for shower singing. I cringed when I heard him.

My heart truly goes out to this young man because he clearly has the PASSION but lacks the talent. Damn. This was a classic video nevertheless... LOL

Thanks for sharing...

I forgot to mention...

When Ian started doing the "Wheat wave" that's the moment when I literally slid out of my chair and laughed uncontrollably.

In the end, it brought tears to my eyes. Thank you for cracking me up. Mission accomplished. :D

Im certain he was acting the clown on purpose here, I reckon this was a sort of reality TV show where people pose and act in ridiculous ways in order to get attention or entertain the public (TV audience), this was so blatantly horribly sung - even for spanish speaking ears - it was clearly meant to be a joke at DM's and this guys expense.

Anton Corbijn's movies are more or less long versions of Depeche Mode videos

Dave has always been Anton's ultimate alpha male, and Anton has always had pale imitations for replacements in the form of:

George Clooney in "The American"
Sam Riley as Ian Curtis in "Control", he looked too much like Pete Doherty from Babyshambles
and more recently: Philip Seymour Hoffman having a go at being the Anton Alpha Male on "A Most Wanted Man"
