To me one of the better live adaptations of the SOTU-songs, it really didn't deserve to be ditched as quickly as it was.

Nice to listen to but if you look at the fans you can see why they dropped it.They didn't seem very enthused at all. A couple of people walked across the crowd at the back. Dave seems to give a 'lets wind this up' action at the end as well.

Judging how well a song goes with a north american crowd? Hmm...

From my experience (limited to YouTube and just one attended gig with this song, to be fair) Miles Away didn't exactly lift the roof either. I think FT could have worked earlier in the set, maybe as a replacement for Hole To Feed? In the end, I guess it comes down to DM playing what they enjoy the most, and clearly that wasn't FT.

Miles Away sounded good though live, most of the time. And Fragile Tension replacing Hole To Feed? For me, HTF was the start of the new material and replacing it with a crock of shit would have been a travesty LOL

We're lucky it sounds good live, because frankly the album version of HTF is a travestial crock of shit :) You know what I mean...

No, it's one of my favourites. Opinions eh? ;-)

FT is much nicer to listen to from a DVD (ie full blast in the car). Also the video for the single FT is excellent whereas the video for HTF....well....!:o
I don't think either lend themselves to the stage well though.
