It's interesting how so many people are afraid of failure.

I think I'm afraid of success,
in a way.

I think it's because I have a hard time with change.....

and actually reaching a goal, would be a huge change.

Well yeah, but it'd be something that you wanted to happen. However, you don't know if that change will bring positive consequences...that's one of the biggest doubts in life, I guess: to not know what will happen once you've reached a point.

Exactly, it's just not knowing what will happen when I get there. I'm a little bit of a control freak, so I like having things laid out.

Something I've learned with a few things though, is no matter how scared I am of moving forward - if it's a good change, then it'll be good for me and I'll end up happy with it. You just have to get over that first big step.

Certainly!
The first step in everything is always the most difficult part.

Life itself gives you the answers or 'clues' through complex situations. Sometimes it's really hard to figure the whole thing out!

I think one of my paper monsters was losing someone i was really close to, but listening to songs like Black & Blue again and She Said (Goodbye) have made me accept this reality and come to terms with it :o

Hold On makes me think about Dave and his various struggles, that in turn gives me confidence and a sense of calmness to just hang in there in difficult times
Again and again... :icon_roll
